On Wednesday, 27 March, a delegation from the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Mme. Gulmira Issimbayeva, Vice-Chairman of the Mazhilis, which was in Japan at the invitation of the House of Representatives of Japan, visited the House and met with Mr. Tadamori Oshima, Speaker.
Speaker Oshima began by welcoming the delegation to Japan and expressed his respect for efforts by the former President Nazarbayev toward the development of Kazakhstan. The Speaker appreciated the strengthening of bilateral relations propelled by the recent mutual visits by the leaders of Japan and Kazakhstan and active parliamentary exchanges.
In reply, Vice-Chairman Issimbayeva expressed gratitude to Speaker Oshima for his invitation to Japan and added that she intended to pave the way to further bilateral exchanges.
Other subjects in their meeting included the 4th Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments to be held in Kazakhstan.
