Members of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan visit Speaker Oshima

On Thursday, 3 October, a delegation from the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by Mr. Talaibek Masabirov, Leader of the Kyrgyzstan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League, which was in Japan at the invitation of the House of Representatives of Japan, visited the House and met with Mr. Tadamori Oshima, Speaker.

Speaker Oshima, beginning by welcoming the delegation to Japan, stated that parliamentary exchange was very important to boost bilateral friendly relations, and commented that he was pleased to see frequent interaction between Japanese and Kyrgyzstani parliamentarians in recent years.

In reply, Mr. Masabirov expressed gratitude to Mr. Oshima for the invitation to Japan and his appreciation for Japan's support including development cooperation, stating his hope for further strengthening of the bilateral relationship with Japan.

Other subjects in their meeting included the differences of food culture between the countries and democratic development in Kyrgyzstan.
