Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan visits Speaker Hosoda
On Monday, 26 September, Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, the upper house of the Turkmenistan parliament, visited the House of Representatives and met with Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House.
Speaker Hosoda began by expressing his profound appreciation to Chairman Berdimuhamedov for visiting Japan to attend the State Funeral of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. Mr. Hosoda welcomed exchange at multiple levels between the two countries and stated his hope for further parliamentary exchange.
Mr. Hosoda and Mr. Berdimuhamedov also discussed their views on policies for natural resources and energy, and on Japanese companies operating in Turkmenistan.
