It is with great sadness that I learned of the flooding caused by the collapse of a glacier in Uttarakhand, bringing about enormous suffering to so many of your people through the loss of lives and with many people still missing.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected, and I pray for the fast progress of your rescue operations.
