Swiss National Council President visits Speaker Nukaga
On Tuesday, 8 April, Ms. Maja Riniker, President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, visited the House of Representatives with her delegation and met with Mr. NUKAGA Fukushiro, Speaker of the House, and Mr. GEMBA Koichiro, Vice-Speaker.
Speaker Nukaga began by welcoming Ms. Riniker, in Japan for the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and expressed hope that her visit would help enhance the two countries' friendship.
Ms. Riniker responded by stating that it is particularly important to deepen bilateral cooperation in the area of state-of-the-art science and technology, including the semiconductor industry.
They also exchanged views on economic and trade policies, security, and exchange between individuals in the two countries.
