It is with great sadness that I learned of the flooding caused by the heavy rains in Niger State, inflicting grave suffering on so many of your people through the loss of lives and the destruction of homes.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the fast progress of your rescue operations, and the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated areas.
