I was deeply saddened to learn of the flooding caused by the heavy rains in the northern part of your country, bringing about enormous suffering for so many of your people through the loss of lives and with many still missing.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the fast progress of your rescue operations.
