President of the Jordanian Senate visits Speaker Nukaga

On Tuesday, 25 November, Mr. Faisal Akef Al-Fayez, President of the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in Japan at the invitation of the House of Councillors, visited the House of Representatives with his delegation and met with Mr. NUKAGA Fukushiro, Speaker of the House; Mr. GEMBA Koichiro, Vice-Speaker; and Mr. HAMADA Yasukazu, Chair of the Standing Committee on Rules and Administration.

Speaker Nukaga began by welcoming the delegation to Japan. He then touched on the long-standing close ties between Japan and Jordan, and stated that they have been furthering bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including politics, the economy and security.

Mr. Al-Fayez responded by offering his appreciation for Japan's consistent assistance to Jordan. He also expressed hope for deepening bilateral cooperation under the strategic partnership.

They also discussed regional issues, parliamentary exchange and Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
