Vietnamese President visits Speaker Hosoda
On Monday, 26 September, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, visited the House of Representatives and met with Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House.
Speaker Hosoda began by expressing his profound appreciation to President Phuc for visiting Japan to attend the State Funeral of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. Mr. Hosoda then touched on active exchange between citizens in Japan and Viet Nam and their historical relationship, with next year marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He continued by stating his hope for further parliamentary exchange between the two countries.
Speaker Hosoda and President Phuc also exchanged views on the bilateral economic relationship, trade and investment.
