President of the Cyprus House of Representatives visits Speaker Hosoda
On Wednesday, 28 September, Mme. Annita Demetriou, President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, visited the House of Representatives and met with Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House.
Speaker Hosoda began by expressing his profound appreciation to President Demetriou for visiting Japan to attend the State Funeral of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. Mr. Hosoda then stated his hope for further parliamentary exchange between Japan and Cyprus, with this year marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Speaker and the President also discussed exchange between individuals in the two countries as well as the bilateral economic relationship, including maritime transportation.
