On Thursday, 29 September, Mag. Urška Klakočar Zupančič, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, visited the House of Representatives and met with Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House.
Speaker Hosoda began by expressing his profound appreciation to Mag. Klakočar Zupančič for visiting Japan to attend the State Funeral of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. Mr. Hosoda then stated his hope for further parliamentary exchange between Japan and Slovenia, with this year marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The two presiding officers also exchanged views on the importance of the fundamental values their countries share, including the rule of law, as well as on the situation in Ukraine and on Japanese companies in the high-tech industry operating in Slovenia.
