Chairman of the Mongolian State Great Hural visits Speaker Hosoda


On Friday, 3 March, Mr. Gombojav Zandanshatar, Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, who was in Japan at the invitation of the House of Councillors, visited the House of Representatives with his delegation and met with Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House; Mr. KAIEDA Banri, Vice-Speaker; and Mr. YAMAGUCHI Shunichi, Chair of the Standing Committee on Rules and Administration.

Speaker Hosoda began by welcoming the delegation to Japan. He then expressed hope for Japan and Mongolia, which marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations last year, to cooperate in contributing to global development. Mr. Hosoda also expressed his desire for greater exchange between individuals in Japan and Mongolia, including between parliamentarians.

Mr. Zandanshatar responded by stating that Mongolia views Japan as a country that shares such values as democracy, human rights, freedom and market economies. He expressed hope for the development of bilateral relations, particularly exchange on a personal level, including parliamentary exchange. He also stated that he hopes the nations will build a mutually beneficial economic relationship as well.

They also exchanged views on linguistic and cultural similarities between both countries.
