Kyrgyz President visits Speaker Nukaga


On Friday, 17 November, H.E. Mr. Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, in Japan at the invitation of the Government, visited the House of Representatives with his delegation and met with Mr. NUKAGA Fukushiro, Speaker of the House.

Speaker Nukaga began by welcoming the delegation to Japan. He then touched on last year's 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kyrgyz, expressing his gratitude for the friendly ties the two countries have maintained over the years. Mr. Nukaga also expressed hope that the president's visit to Japan would help facilitate exchange between their governments and parliaments.

President Zhaparov responded by congratulating Mr. Nukaga on taking office as Speaker. The president also offered his deep appreciation for Japan's support for his country's social and economic development. He noted that the two nations have active exchange between both parliaments, including the parliamentary leagues of friendship, and stressed the importance of continuing exchange through mutual visits at many levels.

They also exchanged views on the importance of cooperation in the international arena based on fundamental values, such as freedom, democracy and basic human rights.
