Finnish President visits Speaker Nukaga
On Wednesday, 11 June, H.E. Dr. Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, visited the House of Representatives with his delegation and met with Mr. NUKAGA Fukushiro, Speaker of the House.
Speaker Nukaga began by welcoming the President, in Japan to attend a National Day event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and expressed hope that his visit to Japan would help enhance the two countries' relationship.
President Stubb responded by offering his appreciation for the reception. He expressed hope for furthering the two nations' cooperative relationship in the areas of the economy, defense and security in the current geopolitical climate.
They also exchanged views on bilateral parliamentary exchange and cooperation in the field of state-of-the-art science and technology.
