It is with profound sadness that I learned of the recent heavy rains in central Viet Nam, causing enormous suffering to so many of your people through the loss of many lives and the destruction of homes by flooding and landslides.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathy and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated areas.
