It is with great sadness that I learned of the flooding caused by the recent heavy rains in KwaZulu-Natal, bringing about enormous suffering for so many of your people through the loss of lives and the destruction of homes.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated areas.
