Esteemed Colleague,
It is with great sadness that I learned of the earthquake in the southern part of your country, inflicting enormous suffering on so many of your people through injuries, the loss of lives and the destruction of homes and buildings.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated areas.
