It is with great sadness that I learned of the devastating flooding and debris flows in central Nepal, bringing about enormous suffering for so many of your people through the loss of countless lives, with many still missing.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I pray that those who lost their lives will rest in peace. I would also like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and our deepest sympathies to all those affected, as well as our sincere wishes for the fast progress of your rescue operations.
